The Tyro99 is a good quad if you want to start FPV or if you want a cheap build.

The price is really attractive, for 99$ you have a complete quad (you have only to provide a receiver). But it is a "Do It
Yourself" ! It is good to learn FPV and it is not difficult at all !

So what do you have in the box ?

The frame (210mm wheelbase, 3K carbon fiber) is composed of the following elements:

  • Frame arm thickness: 5mm
  • Bottom plate thickness: 2mm
  • Side plate thickness: 2mm
  • Aluminium cage

About the electronics:

  • Motor 2206/2150KV
  • LIPO 3/5S
  • F4 + OSD
  • ESC 4 in 1 (30A, MAX 40A, DSHOT600)
  • Camera 700TVL + VTX 0/25/200/600mW (so you can stop the VTX during your test !)
  • Propeller 10 pairs of Racerstar 5038

You have multiples steps but the main one are:

  • Assemble the frame with the screws + nuts
  • Solder the ESC + the motors and the XT60 wire

I did a video if you want to follow and to not do any errors:

If you want spare parts for the Tyro99, here a list:

Personnaly I'm using this LIPO with the Tyro99:

I'm working on a next article to explain you what I think about this quad and some feedbacks to improve your flights !
